Early Morning Inspiration... and Coffee Of Course!
What time do you get up? Are you an early riser or do you like to stay up late and wake up late?
I am an early riser, always have been. I remember staying at a friends house and laying there for what felt like hours before they would wake up! Now, on most mornings, I wake up naturally at 4:50 am. Crazy right? It seems the moment I wake up my mind starts going and I cannot shut it of. Just to make it sound better, I wait until 5:00 am to actually get out of bed, I know then too that coffee is brewing :)!
The morning is my quiet time. I take the time to actually sit and look at my phone, have coffee and have whatever I want on the tv...while of course not actually watching it. I have been trying as well to hop on the computer and do this...write to you all! Mornings are my inspiration time. Whether I have a project I'm working on and what my next steps are or looking up new ideas and inspiration.
In the past 6 months or so, I have really found what my design style and likes truly are. I am honing in on my look and what I like to offer it to others. I love things to be simple, Scandinavian style. This means clean lines and lots of texture. I would not go so far to say minimal, but you can make a big impact having a simple palette with key pieces such as a large mirror, which are my favorite thing, lighting or unique dining chairs (which are also my favorite!) I could scour Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp all morning and then spend an entire day running around Phoenix grabbing all my finds. A small dream of mine is to have a storage shed where I could keep all my findings so they are ready to use should I have the perfect spot for them. Hey, didn't Johanna Gains start off that way, hoarding all her pieces?! Just saying, great minds think alike right!
