2020

As you have heard many times I'm sure, can you believe that we are in a new decade?!  Only 10 short years ago, my husband and I had just our son and I was newly pregnant with our first daughter.  My how the years have flown.  So much reflection has been happening for me and also my outlook and how I picture my next 10 years, although we know, it's never ends up being what we THINK it may be.

This year will mark four years for Chalk It Up which that in itself is hard to believe.  What started out as a side hobby for my husband Alex and I, it has awoken my passion for creativity and styling.  Many moons ago when I first moved here to Arizona and started my college career, my classes were geared toward interior design.  But being the silly 18 year old that I was, I found some classes too "hard" or they didn't fit the mold of what I thought I should be learning and dropped them.  I am so lucky to now have that passion revisited and now I really get to focus on what I love and help others along the way.

My intentions for this next year is to show you how to style your home, find the perfect pieces and upcycle anything and everything.  I want to hear from you!  What questions do you have and how can I help you achieve a space that makes you smile and feel at home in.  My moto is you shouldn't have to spend a lot to get the look you want...and you can quote me on that! (That's a thing right, make your own quote and become known for it?!)

And please, I would love to hear from you all out there!  Let me know what you would like to see from me.  What are your intentions for 2020?
